Mandate

CTI Canadian Training Institute is a national, non-profit organization which provides training, consulting assistance, promotes collaborative action and undertakes applied research projects in contributing to the effectiveness of services delivered by criminal justice and related human service agencies in Canada.

CTI is committed to fostering inclusively, equality and life-long learning by enhancing services which assist individuals to participate as responsible, valued and contributing members of Canadian society.

In this respect CTI assists in the development of knowledge, skills and services that reduce crime, promote active participation and ultimately contribute to healthy individuals, agencies and communities.

The guiding goals of CTI are as follows:

Funding

The CTI Canadian Training Institute, Institut Canadien de Formation Inc. has made significant contributions in crime prevention, enhancing the effective of services delivered by criminal justice and related human service agencies, providing crisis intervention and trauma support to individuals and communities as a result of significant Federal government financial support.

CTI has received on a yearly renewal basis a core sustaining grant from the Solicitor General of Canada. This core grant is provided under the voluntary sector sustaining funding program. Additionally we receive contribution and project funding in carrying out demonstration projects.

CTI's other activities are provided through grants and contributions, through the generous support of donors, and through income derived from fee-for-service contracts and training registrations.
